demisting the windscreen

has anyone got any products or recommendations to help prevent the windows steaming up and help demist quicker?
iv been looking at rainx quick clear stuff thats designed to go on the exterior but if applied to the interior surely it would assist clearing the windscreen by preventing the glass fogging up in the first place?

Putting it on the inside would likely cause it to form in droplets rather than keep it clear.
These cars have a propensity to be wet or at least damp somewhere inside so hence the misting.

Probably best to get something like this and leave it on the dashboard overnight

Keeping one or two of these in the car will keep humiditiy down a bit, which will help reduce condensation in the first place:

I think Rain-X basically causes beading, so you'd be more likely to end up with water droplets than a thin layer of condensation - I'm not sure that would be any better.

I had a 12V cigarette-lighter powered demister/heater in my air-cooled campervan. It was rubbish, so don't bother with those.

I use similar product to Ed & Duggers.

Keep one on the parcel shelf & pop one on the dash at night.

Ditto on the Thomar air dry. I have two that I rotate.one in the car for a week while the other drying on a heating rad. Makes a huge difference to airborne moisture levels. And my car lives outside ..

i got 2 of those air dryer things from halfords yesterday
they were £10 each

Keep the screen clean. Might sound daft, but does seem to make a difference
