Hello All, after some tinkering with the fuel system after losing power with a new fuel filter, I may (genuinely unsure!) have damaged part 38 (067133679H):
It's the fuel pipe from the filter to the K-Jetronic distributor, which has metallic banjo fittings at either end and a flexi rubber middle section. I had incorrectly assumed that the flexi rubber pipe could be pulled off from the metallic ends, but there seems to be something connecting the metallic parts inside the rubber. I twisted the pipe trying to remove the rubber. After realising this would not work, I tried blowing through the pipe but the air couldn't pass. I ended up straightening it out again such that air could pass, but I'm not sure if I've increased the flow resistance or damaged the internals. The part also looks to have a small chafe on the rubber hose part (not sure if this was me too or not). The part seems to be around £45.
1. Does anyone know where I might find an equivalent part cheaper? Or maybe I just need to cough up.
2. What is actually inside this part? Is it just some sort of spring to keep the rubber from bending too much and stopping fuel flow?
Thank you!

Re: Fuel Pipe-Filter to Distributor-Mk2
in answer to your question i would assume this pipe is reinforced due to the high pressure fuel inside so will have metal or fiber braid inside which holds its shape.
it sounds to me like its blocked either through the pipe collapsing in on itself where the rubber has perished or you have a large lump of sum thing stuck in the pipe thats probably not going to come out.
i will have a look during the week but i think i have one of those pipes knocking around my garage.
if i find it i will let you know how much postage and whatever would be.

Hi James, thanks for the input and the offer. I think you're right about reinforcement. I've actually already put the part on my list to Santa (mum & dad) so I'll have to pass on your generous offer, thanks though!

I'll have a look in my 'could be useful later' box in the shed, may have one lurking.
Apparently the dreadful paint on my Rocco is PATINA....
