Looking to fit the VDO Oil Pressure / Oil temp Guages to my GT2.
Could some on confirm the following -
Presently I presume the oil pressure sender fitted standard to the oil filter housing stays in that position ??
I need to purchase a T piece to connect the VDO Pressure / Oil temp senders, do they both they both fit in the T Piece ??
In theory I will end end up with Oil Pressure / Oil temp indication from the Guage's plus the original dashboard oil pressure light ??
Does anyone have a part number for the T piece or the Thread sizes for the senders and the oil filter housing ??
Using eefy's wiring guide from his post, cheers mate

Re: VDO Oil Pressure / Oil temp Guage Fitting
Standard GTpoo? The oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing can stay in the same position, yes. Just forward of this is a (blanked) hole where you should just about be able to squeeze the the oil pressure sender.
You could fit a t-piece here and also fit the oil temp sender but you may be better off doing this at the pressure switch on the side of the head where there's a bit more room.
You can also get a sump plug modified to fit an oil temp sender.
Pretty sure all the senders are M10x1 and if that's right the T-piece would be VDO 240 850.
Best thing is to ring someone like C&R or Awesome - although the latter will try and flog you this

Was going to fit both the VDO Pressure / Oil temp senders a'la what eefy had done.
In theory it can be done, but space is the limiting factor?

Re: VDO Oil Pressure / Oil temp Guage Fitting
I haven't seen Heath's thread - II was just trying out my own oil p sender in that space
I'm probably going to take the simpler route of removing the oil pressure switch and fitting the oil temp sender in it's place. In 20 something years of Scirocco/Golf/etc ownership I've never once had an oil pressure switch activate - and I'll have a pressure gauge!

Mark, I am not sure how to link my previous posts and contributions on this subject so I will bump a couple of of them separately. I have done this job and it is fairly easy if you have all the kit from an Audi 80 Sport. Bumps to follow.
