Can anyone help?! Car/wedding
Hi Everyone!
I have had, shall we say an unusual request sent through to the membership e-mail!
Being a close knit community and all very friendly i was wondering if anyone could help this chap out:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi there.
My future wife used to have a bronze Mk1 GLS Auto back when I first
met her and it is still her most beloved and missed vehicles.
We are marrying next year and I need to know if anybody would be
willing to hire out a similar car for the 4 mile trip from her house
to the church.
Kind regards, Andy.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Andy lives in Kettering, Northants and would need the car for a short trip to the church around 4 miles away
He's obviously happy to cover costs and arrange fully comprehensive insurance
So over to you guys!
Will.

Re: Can anyone help?! Car/wedding
I have my MK 1 on a fairly stringent insurance policy, the insurers always ask ' you will not be loaning/hiring for special occasions - weddings etc?'. I guess most other owners could be in the same boat, hence not many replies. Not much help I'm afraid but maybe some way towards an explanation..

Re: Can anyone help?! Car/wedding
As per Wills add on this person is willing to pay additional insurance to cover for the day,so you are covered for a wedding. If you do it for free it should not count as reward or hire for a wedding. He's after a bronze car, nothing Alpine white!
I'm sure somebody on here could help with this request.

Hopefully someone can help,
I don't think it necessarily has to be bronze, as per the post, something similar will do
Thanks for the replies

Re: Can anyone help?! Car/wedding
I hope some can help near to you, I used mine as my wedding car so I had to finish it and get it MOT after 10 years restoring it!
It was a little tricky getting my wife's dress into the car and I had to drive as I would not want to sit in the back.
Some pictures from my wedding day.
I even manned to get some ribbon printed, I took the car off the road just before I met my wife.
Gave us something to talk about.
