Where do I start!!
We had a fab weekend in Osnabruck with the Dissen Scirocco club plus our Dutch friends, Big thanks to Eric for organiser it from our end.
From this forum we had Eric (Tempest) TimR Glen & Rachel + 100% Scirocco fan young Owen! From the Corrado forum we had Chris & Brit and Alan. Then over all the way from California Doug and Cathy (16V Coupe on here)
Before you enjoy the photo's how's this for a 100% true story! In convoy, I was in my MK1 storm approaching what was the former Karmann factory gate, Stopped at traffic lights, put my foot on the clutch. BOING! I said to MrMM Bo***ks my clutch has gone! On closer inspection, it turned out the cable had gone through the bulkhead! I limped the 50 metres into the museum car park, we were pushed into a car parking place. The guide asked about my problem, I told him . Within about 10 minuets 2 technicians came with "Classic VW Service coveralls. In the space of about 1 hour they fabricated and fitted a "C" Washer in place. NO CHARGE! I gave them 20Euro. They put it into the charity pot.My 35 year old car breaks down outside where it was built! Then gets repaired there! I was going to do a more permanent repair. However in hindsight it is a genuine Karmann repair, so it stays! :)
Summary of this trip: Together with a little gang of UK Rados and Roccos and one rental car driven by die-hard Rocco fans all the way from sunny California (having to put up with the German rainy weather instead) I went to a meet near Osnabrück:

As long as it does the job, another nice story for the car's file.

Looks like you all had a good time. I must go one day to see where both my cars came from, the Mk1 Scirocco and the Mk1 Golf Cabriolet.
So was it TimR that needed the jump leads or was TimR trying to start the VR6 Corrado?

They both nearly did, after several attempts of the VR jump starting the Rocco had failed, a nearby hill sorting out the problem (of a poorly Rocco) instead
