to keep kit or not

Post by steve bain »

so I do like dekitted cars and this is the perfect opportunity to do it after paint, but my car is a storm so it somehow feels wrong.

what would you do?

If you're keeping the rest of it in a condition that can be changed easily back to standard, I'd keep the kit. Otherwise, do what you like.

I like early non kitted mk2s as well, but have to be given the euro treatment, and the met brown would look great. If it's a car that needs alot of work and you're going to repaint it and having to de kit anyway to sort arches etc go for it, the kit can always be put back on.
If it's a really tidy original car I'd say nooooooooooooooo!
