Mk1 roof linner

Post by mark1gls »

How much is a new roof linner and are the available anywhere? Any one had one fitted?

Mine has a Webasto roof which is not fitted to the car.

Found out today that the trimmers who are recovering the Webasto roof are unable to glue the roof linner back which has come away from both sides of the rear side windows.
The linner is to old and fragile to try to stretch it.

:crying: Yet more money

Have not spoken to the timmers yet, not back in work till Monday, just seen the chap who resprayed the car.

(see "respray" in Mk1 Scirocco section)

I don't think there are any 'off the shelf' options here n the UK.
ebay.de has some though...

Thanks for the into Ryan, at least I have an idea of the cost of one.

When I spoke to the trimmers a couple of weeks ago he said a new one will be approx £400 which i think is a pricey but he had not seen the car.
He would make one up for the car.

I'm after info so he he quotes £400 again I have some ammo to barter with, even the chap who sprayed the car thought £400 has expensive.

Just have to wait untill Monday.

Worth dropping Ant (The Autoad - http://www.sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/ ... ofile&u=53 ) a PM.
He had a trimmer do his mk1 headliner not all to long ago - £400 seems a tad expensive...
