On the way back from Inters today, spotted an E reg red GT just outside Banbury.

Got my hopes up for a moment there as Banbury is my neck of the woods. Alas, mine is a H reg GTII

As far as I know, there's at least 3 near Banbury. Mine is a red GTII as mentioned and there's 2 black/dark grey ones too. I think one of them belongs to a member on here too.

Banbury is becoming quite a good place for older watercooled VWs. I keep spotting a MK1 Golf around, loads of nice MK2 and MK3 Golfs and a really nice saloon, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Possibly a Santana? I think I actually see more nice watercooled ones than aircooled now. Or maybe I'm just noticing them my route to work now goes through town.

Yes mate mine is the dark grey one on the 5 spoke alloys. Yeah there are alot about lately, a few of my mates are in mk2 and mk3 golf in Banbury. The saloon is it silver? Because if so it is a Santana :)

A white GT2 drove past me yesterday, reg k***POL, I was actually quite gobsmacked to see another round here! Cannock Rd near Hednesford.
