Hi all. Was a member a while back and have occasionally dipped in to have a look at what's been going on.
I did have a 16V GTX (the multi shades of gold [brown mostly] one if any one remembers it) which I sold, a sad day, to help my daughter afford Uni'
I have still got my 8v GTX which i bought back in 2004 which has sort of sat around feeling unloved.
I have recently been fettling the old girl and looking to put it through an MOT shortly. It has what can only be described as shocking paint with ugly laquer peel all over the place as well as some paint fading!
I have however done a little bit of welding in the usual places i.e. axle mounts, inner arch near the filler pipe etc. I have also polybushed all round fitted new shockers, rear brakes. It has 256 discs and green stuff pads a gas flowed head, Neuspeed throttle body with ported matched intake and GS2H camshaft.
So it goes and stops well but is kind of fugly!
I am rejoining the register and am hoping to attend the National Meet but promise to park away from all the shiny pretty roccos if I make it.
Nice to be back.

Re: Return to the fold
Don't park away from the other Roccos! Roccos of all flavours should be together.
Looking forward to the Nats.

Yep, got on at J9 and found i was some way behind which gave me a reason to stretch the legs somewhat.
I do miss the 16V but my daughters education was a no brainer. It was bought by a guy from Dortmund. we met at Luton airport and he paid me in cash. Can't imagine what security thought watching that on CCTV.
