Front Fog Lights

Front Fog Lights

Hi,
My front fogs work with my Headlights, is this the way they work? seems odd to me not having them on it's own switch?

The switch is on the right hand side of the dashboard.
Position one - off.
Position two - ignition on, front fogs work when side or dipped lights are on.
Position three - ignition on, switches rear fog on where fronts are already on.
