SELLING - for the avoidance of any doubt
for the avoidance of any doubt.
ANY thread that touches on people/fellow users spending money with you other than as part of a private sale of a car or car parts - MUST be flagged up to me or Ant (Autoad).
ALSO - If you're not a paid up member of the club (loads of threads/links re how to become one) assume that ANY 'group buy'/opportunity/i can make this/refurb these whatever type threads will be deleted if you've not bothered to contact us.
This is a free to use forum - common sense re what is a private sale or not, a money making sideline or not or a MUST be flagged up to us.
If we think you're taking the mick the thread will be deleted without checking/apology.

classic.
it's a free to use forum, enough reminders at sign up stage and elsewhere that no commercial promotions allowed on here.
if organisations have a product or service that could be useful to members or users then they can approach us through the usual routes.
if paid up members have a product or service useful to other people we have an area on the forum for that - not enough people take advantage of that tbh.
if people are breaking cars on anything approaching a commercial basis then those threads will be deleted.
some users or threads get flagged to mods, we 'discuss' in the mods area and make a judgement.
if you think that's being totalitarian then we're guilty as charged.
see you at the shows in the summer hopefully Oli.

Re: for the avoidance of any doubt
Quite simple and easy to understand policies, as Sean states this is a free site therefore why should some use it as a free advertising board and profit from it?
I for one would go as far as charging a small fee for selling cars and parts, therefore boosting the clubs coffers and using the money for promoting the Register around the shows.
