Hope you can help me, I am looking to upgrade the headlamp and spot lamp bulbs on my GT2.
Could you confirm the correct type of bulbs -
Side Lights - 233??
Dipped Low - H4??
Main (inner) - H4??
Fog Lamp - H3
Cheers Mark

Re: Headlamp Bulbs
the main headlights (the outer ones that do dip and main) are H4 bulbs, correct.
the inners are only spot lights are H1 or H3 i think
my mk2 had 501 capless bulbs.
personally i favour nightbreaker bulbs (with uprated wiring and relays) to give decent lighting.
you could also go with silly overpowered bulbs (i had some 200/140W H4 bulbs in my caddy) which is like driving in daylight, but expect to get flashed by every other motorist, and to get your collar felt on a regular basis!
i took a pic once i had done the loom on one side in my caddy. this is just with the standard bulbs in. one side is through a relay, and has the full 14v from the alternator. the other side is still the original wiring and no relay, and from memory was around 8v at the bulb.

Re: Headlamp Bulbs
That post contains statements to the effect that the inners are H1, but that's for the US style with equal sized lights.
To be on the safe side, probably best to remove one of the inners and take it with you to a factors.
