Unbelievably sad news! Within seconds of us turning up at the national meet he was under my bonnet correcting my vacuum hoses and clutch position. He was a true gent... Our thoughts are with his friends and family.

Shocked and saddened when I heard about Ian from Sean. I was looking forward to seeing him again next year with Chamila at the shows.
Hope Paul doesn't mind me using this photo.

Re: Ian Croucher - ianaudia4
Just saw the news on facebook, very sad to learn this. Ian was a great guy, who had a real passion for VAG cars especially Scirocco's, a larger than life personality and was a good friend always encouraging me to buy another. He will be sorely missed. I will never forget the day he bought his storm and drove it to my place for "pre-flight checks" before heading back up north. I hope he's in a good place.

Terribly sad news, We would often see Ian at the shows on the Register stand and counted him as a friend who always greeted you as such. He would always provide help and information to anyone who asked and was unstintingly generous. We met Chamila for the first time at the National and send our heartfelt sympathy to her and his family.

Sad news:( I'm not on here much and heard this through Face Book.
I met Ian when he was up at Volksfling at Biggar. On meeting him once he was always straight talking, knowledgeable and so considerate to everyone. Within meeting him for about 30 mins he was helping me try to figure out my electric window issues.
My condolences go out to family and friends.

Re: Ian Croucher - ianaudia4
When people post in the wanted section but forget to state their location _ _ _ _ need I say anymore. I never met Ian in person but his number is still on my phone. Ian loved Vw's and could talk about Scirocco's all day long. Ian, even went to the bother of sourcing larger items and posted them across the water when other members would insist on pick up only. I could only describe Ian as a Stalwart of this forum and a decent guy. The amount of times I've read posts which have included Ian giving a hand or helping people do engine transplants shows you his good nature.
RIP Ian, hope your in a good place and my condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Ian Croucher - ianaudia4
Like many on here I'd known Ian for quite a while now and don't have a bad word to say about him. He will be missed not just at the bigger gatherings but especially the smaller North-East mini-meets, usually organised by Ian himself. A friendly face, larger than life personality and always willing to help people out. Gone but never forgotten.
