Has anyone local to me (Stroud, Gloucestershire) got a spare pierburg lying around as mine has a broken part throttle channel heater. Its the bottom bit circled below. Its really easy to remove only one screw.

is yours the silver D reg one? i've seen it about loads when i've been working over that way. not got any more carbs though, sorry. you could try looking for one in a golf in a knackers yard. harry bucklands is good and not too far from you...

no mines red. Never seen the silver one though. Gave up and bought a secondhand webber for £50 in the end. Turns out it wasnt the problem. Something had gone wrong with teh distributor cap and it was getting a shit spark. Now ive just gotta change the filler neck as its dropping rust into my shiny new tank and clogging up my fuel lines/filter. Hopefully i'll have a working car at some point in the near future.
