It's not difficult, i did mine a couple of months ago
there are four screws holding everything in place in total. take the lock mechanism out of position and fit the seal to the hole.
the one piece of advice i would give you is to remember that when you're pushing the boot lock through the new seal, it will feel like it doesn't fit, which is obviously a good thing. I had to lube up and push like hell (ahem) to get mine through. when it's in place everything will fit together again nicely.

While the old seal is out clean and repair any damage hidden by the old seal.

Managed to do it this morning before it rained. Like you all said; pretty straight-forward.
Bit of a faff getting the new seal in; get one side in & the other side pops out, managed it with my son's help though.
Also had a problem getting the push-button to work again when I put it all back together, seemed like there was too much slack in the 's' link.
Whatever, done - another job ticked off the list!
