I've used paints4u a few times now, never had a problem and good results.

i had a few cans of sapphire blue made by halfords. they had 4 different formulas for it though, so it took a couple of attempts to find the right one. the one that matched was a perfect match

sadly, yes. you can't tell it don't match till you spray it on and let it dry, and there's no way i know of telling which of the 4 possible variants is on your car. might even have a few part tins in the shed still. how much are you needing to paint?

I've got the mid section of one door(between the door bumper and window, as its bubbled around the door handle and along the bottom of the window) and one front wheel arch, on the plastic trim.

Or try your local VW dealer, I was able to get Alpine white.

You might find with your paint being 20 odd years old it might of faded etc.

Yeah but I guess I'll just have to chance it. Thankfully it will be in an area that doesn't need to be blended in
