Electric Windows.. Motor/ movement assembly

Post by Jack92 »

Starting to decide that getting out of bed this morning was a bad idea... nothing is going well..

anyway to my point.

My passenger side electric window wont go down all the way, also when it stops it gets jammed down and you have the play with the end of the section that feeds into the motor to get the thing to go back up.

Im not quite sure what the issue is, it may be the section on the cable that looks different as this is where it always stops

any advice would be great thanks again guys :)

I'd guess the cable is buffered

The cable looks like it is full of shite and corrosion. You could try to soak it in wd40 or another penetrating oil and leave for a few days to try and free it up.

ok matey ill give it a go and let you know what happens. The weird thing is that it works over the sections that look like its full of crap and the cleaner bit is where it jams
