Scala just continues to impress - it's definitely the 'nicest' to drive between compared to the 16v and the GTL.
Selling the grey momo wheel/gear knob/gaitor so, due to having darker Corrado seats now, have fitted the Momo that had been in the 16v for 20+ years and a matching leather gearknob/gaitor.
Black leather Corrado seats popped up on ebay this week.........not for long though thanks to the cash from the recent tombstone style interior sale.
They're in nice enough condition, bolsters all replaced, just one small repair patch and minor wear.
The idea being that the early pattern rado seats that were in the scala previously will go in the mk1 with a view to an eventual early mk1 pattern tartan refurb.
this being the rear bench that had been in the black gtx for 20 years, being originally from a scala it was non split so, when another interior popped up, this allowed me to stick it in the scala to go better with the rado leather fronts.
Happy.
Scala has just completed round trip to Formby without any trouble - had some new brake fluid, fuel filter and some new plugs before xmas too so purring nicely.
once Mk1 finished I'm going to invest in a new fuel tank, fit one of my NOS filler necks and sort some powerflex rear axle bushing plus some new calipers.

love this car.
All done - plus some new adaptors.
Went for super-pro rear bushing in the end, seems to be a better built alternative to the powerflex.
Feels brilliant and I can fill my tank up now too.
Recentish shots from Stanford Hall taken by others.
yeah, black leather looks the nuts. are these original 16v seats then? (sorry if i've missed that earlier..) i've got similar looking ones in mine but they're brown and scream old man! need some cool black ones like yours!
Took a bit of persuading to fit but happy with the quality.
One on the 16v too - that's a bit more fiddly probably due the leading edge of the scuttle having been knocked about slightly during the '92 engine swap/re-shell.
Aside from an irritating light switch issue, now sorted.................. ahem loose wire..ahem, the Scala continues to put a smile on the my face.
Nicest to drive arguably - it's got the Weitec coilovers of course so no surprise there - on long runs, it'll need a service/cam belt and probably some top mounts in the New Year.
Could do with some time up at the Grotto to make completely perfect but for now she's still a head turner - all set to be the Xmas workhorse.
The 'nice' one is showing signs of age - it's the youngest but is now a 26 year old car based on build date I have to keep reminding myself.
In for a pre Christmas service with the Phirm too but a few coolant loss issues and a sporadic oil warning light saw me back down there this week.
All the pressures test, upshot is I think it's got early stage head gasket and, if not a faulty oil pressure sensor, possibly now time for a new oil pump - has now gone through 100k miles.
It's served me well for over 10 years so happy to keep applying some TLC.
