Hi,
would anyone know if with a clutch kit for a mk2 GT2 EX engine would have a bearing with it? Because when I look them up they don't seem to have one but only this plate with a ring looking clip and I was unsure if that counted as the bearing or not. Any info would help greatly.

Do you mean the thrust bearing? They don't usually come in the kits I have bought, about a fiver to buy separately.

also order the end plate on the gearbox because u will destroy it getting it out to gain access to the bearing.

Re: Clutch Kit (GT2 EX Engine)
one more thing,
when changing the bearing be careful with the clutch lever on the gearbox, if you let it drop too much the release arm in the gearbox that's supposed to rest on the bearing contacts the new end plate you have fitted, which not only pops it out but also distorts it so it wont stay in properly! very annoying!

Hi,
thanks for the reply, although found at last week it was to do with the gear linkages and not the clutch at all thanks all the same :)
