Cooling hose identification

Post by philstar »

Hey guys I need a new water hose, it is the one that runs from the inlet manifold to the metal pipe, I can't seem to identify it online. Do any of you know of any sets that I can buy to replace ALL hoses? I found this set but I'm not sure if it replaces every hose in the engine bay:

On my mk1 the 2 ends was the same size, metal pipe and inlet manifold, so I used normal rubber hose from a motor factors only a few £ then just cut it to the right size and bent it around the corner.
Might not work on a mk2?

No number 8 on the diagram goes into the carburettor, the diagram doesn't actually show a hose from the inlet manifold that matches mine!

No problem, one of the many benefits of having my own copy of ETKA.
Confusingly I couldn't find it under scirocco at all. Looked under golf and got it straight away.

How does one get hold of a copy of EKTA? VAGCAT, partsbase and partscats (and a Russian one I came across recently) are good and very useful but usually show the same thing eg part numbers missing, which makes me think they're all looking at the same database.

Officially, work for vw and aquire the security key somehow.
Unofficially, there are various websites that cater for such needs. Unfortunately this probably isn't the right place to discuss such things. Lol.
I got my copy a while ago and can't remember where from. There are many versions some of which are a bit of a pig to get running. The one I found just works though.
Send me a pm and I can possibly sort something out though.

Ben.
