Pierburg 2E2 manual

Post by marcus »

Apologies if others have already posted this but thought the Pierburg 2E2 factory manual might be useful to others.

I was honestly surprised that this wasn't just "remove 2e2, throw into garden, fit literally anything else..."

Philistine, there's nothing wrong with them when set up properly, mine has been faultless and untouched for ten years.

Though of course, now i've posted this, something's bound to go wrong with it in the next 24 hours, though of course I won't know about it 'cos I still haven't sorted my ignition problem, though that's largely due to lack of time... :(

Fair, a number of people have said they run better than webers when they work...

They're fine until something goes wrong, which is rather inevitable.

They are a much more advanced and complicated carb and as a result are more efficient and as powerful as the Weber. Unfortunately the complexity makes them difficult for the home mechanic and any professional who can only solve problems by plugging in a computer (most modern garages). I understand that mechanics found them difficult to sort out even when they were current technology.
