Have a new set of lights I'm putting in (the actual glass/plastic not the bulbs) and it doesn't seem to want to come lose.
I've taken the bulb holder unit thing out and taken the 6 retaining screws out, but it's stuck fast and I can't see whats stopping it.
I've checked the haynes manual which seems to indicate that it should fall out once the screws are out.
Is there something I'm missing?

Fair enough - it's been awhile lol. Anyway, I always found when removing that I had to give them a bit of a whack from the inside as they were always stuck fast. If you're lucky, it's just dirt keeping them in place. If you're unlucky you could find it's some manner of sealant/glue.

Starting to thing it's glue. A hammer and a stanley knife haven't had any impact at all.mr.brown wrote:Fair enough - it's been awhile lol. Re: Rear lights won't come out
It is most likely that the original seal is gone all mushy and has become a sort of sticky thing.
Just use a lever of some plastic and put some tension on it and try to move it around a bit so each time you put some force on an other spot of the light.
I do not know why you are taking them out otherwise it does not matter if they come out in pieces.
Succes, Joost

I wouldn't be surprised if someone's cured a leak in the past, in a not easily reversible way.
