Hello,
i've been having problems with pulling off in first gear as it is really sluggish and a really high biting point, i first tried a new clutch cable and is now fitted but barely any difference so it's my worst fear of it being the clutch kit in the gearbox but I'd rather not have to take it all out before getting any info or direction, so if anyone has had this problem before or any knowledge what so ever it would be immensely appreciated.

You should have approx 25mm of free play on the cable.
If your cable is adjusted correctly then a high biting point would indicate a worn clutch.
A new clutch kit from the likes of GSF (discount if paid up member!) will cost you about £50ish.

Also check the bulkhead where the cable goes through that its not starting to split or crack, common problem on these cars.
