brought myself a set of 25mm eibach spacers for my back end. car jacked wheel off bolt on and my wheel wont sit flush.. balls.
on closer inspection the hub center of the spacer is straight whereas the cars is tapered to seat my wheel.
since then i have called up vw heritage and discussed the kw spacers they stock which also have a straight lip.
came to the conclusion that the eibach spacers i purchased where miss advertised and are not for a scirocco.
all in all a long way of asking if the center lip of the spacer should slip inside the center bore of my alloy?
cheers jake

Re: SPACERS.
Hi mate.
I'm not 100% on this but as far as other cars are concern they normally do, but due to the actually size of the lip it could just be to help locate the wheel.
But that's just my guess.

Re: SPACERS.
Cheers jack, Yep it seems they should but I have now gone and bought another set where the centre bore fit but the spacer will not sit flush on the hub ire
Am just interested to know what other people have on theirs / any recommendations etc.(after ally 20mm)
cheers Jake

Re: SPACERS.
Hi,
The hub side of the spacer should sit snug over the lip on the hub and the wheel side of the spacer should fit snug into the wheel. The lip is there to support the wheel as you should not rely on your wheel bolts, they should only hold the wheel in place. You should be able to get different size spacers to suit the hub and wheels you use. You can also get little plastic rings to make a lip that is too small fit. Search on ebay for spigot rings and there are loads of different size adapters. If the lip is too big to fit the hole there is not a lot you can do other than get the spacer or wheel turned out so the hole is bigger.
Ben.

Re: SPACERS.
I did consider skimming a bit off the inside of the spacer but then worried that it would compromise its strength.
my dad suggested buying a 5 mm spacer to plug the gap instead but that's just more money down the drain for a bodge job in my opinion.
