Hey Phil... The storm's looking good! Can you remember the specs of the BBS splits you had on the green one? I'm rebuilding my RS's and can't decide what width etc to go

BBS were 7.5 and 8J, sat lovely! Should be more pics in my photobucket.
Storms MOT'd and on the road. Coilovers turned up today, going to order some new springs see if i can get them to ride a bit nicer. Cant decide what wheels to put on.

Nice one dude
I'll give it a whirl... I had decided on 8's for the rear, but wasn't sure how wide i could go on the front.

Re: Bush Storm
This bloody scirocco is driving me mad. It just plain doesnt like me.
So I fitted some special PhilJ coilovers, all was fine except the tyre rubbing on them. Sorted that out by raising it right up and adjusting the camber untill the new wheels turn up.
Driving down a country road and went over a minor bump in the road (went over it in a polo -60mm and not bangs) turned in for the corner after and the wheels rubbing on the right hand/inner side of the arch everytime I turn. Get it to the workshop and it looks like I've ramped into a kerb and given it a few degrees of castor for good measure.
Take the wheel off and nothing looks bent or out of place. We changed that side back to the old springs and shocks and its still the same. Bit stuffed as to what to do with the thing. Its had new top mounts, and I've got new steering arms and ball joints, so I guess I should change them and the wishbones see how we get on. I cant believe such a little bump could cause something to bend like that though.
Dont suppose anyone has any ideas?

I think storms were stickered as opposed to badged...Glenn wrote:has the tailgate been de-badged? or is that the way the early ones were standard?
