End plate on gearbox leaking

Post by KB88 »

My mechanic called me to tell me my gearbox is leaking.
He says it's from the plate on the end of it, it has VW on there.
Any idea where i could get one from to replace it?
My Rocco is a 1.6 GT 1988

Thanks :hi:

You mean this part..

It can be bought from various places on line although not all are official VW, I fitted one when changing release bearing without any issues. the aluminium was quite corroded round the lip but it does get a lot of road salt. Pretty sure you would get one in your local GSF off the shelf failing that a VW dealer or Eurocarparts? Remember going mail order Carpartsforless is a cheaper Eurocarparts.
