Nearly finished the welding now all arch work done and valance just the drivers bottom corner of windscreen then paint time.
There is a big but, in my clumsy haste i managed to crack the screen on the way out does anyone know if they are still readily available and if so what sort of money they are.
If you can source your own screen you can ask a company to put it in for you.
I was lucky enough to have an auto glass guy in my area who put my screen in for me for 70 quid.
And that was only because if he broke it he could get another one for me for free
i got a screen put in by the RAC when i first got mine. didn't have insurance cover for it, so had to pay. total price fitted was 140, and it would have been 60 at the time had i had it on my insurance
out of curiosity, i just emailed autoglass, and have had a reply. they have mk1 and mk2 screens in stock, but wouldn't give me a price until i say what tint i want

Mine cracked during removal.......
Got a green tint one from Autoglass for 70 quid plus 30 to fit.
So the screen is sorted found a guy breaking a Mk2 in Leeds so decided that a road trip was on the cards.
Some good music, some bad singing and a 460 mile round trip and got all of the bellow for £90
