It failed at first attempt, one headlight set way too low, an earth fault affecting the drivers side rear light (there was no earth from the metal plate where the lamps plug in) and emissions to high on C02 the MOT station is 10 miles from home and I had to drive back to rectify these piddly little things.

To fix the emissions I just screwed the mixture screw right in on the metering head so it would just tick-over.
I managed to get a re-test later in the day and when I was driving back the oil pressure warning light came on, I switched the ignition off and on and it cured it but then it returned. I had not a clue what to do, I'd fitted a brand new VW oil pump 18 months ago, Slick 50, new oil, new filter so I really doubted what the warning lamp was telling me. Talk about blind faith!
I knew sooner or later if there was a pressure issue it would grind to a halt with the death rattle on the top-end and I would just sit at the side of the road and sob my heart out reflecting on what could have been.
It was fine and my faith was justified.
When I was returning home,a bloke travelling in the opposite direction nearly ground to a halt to keep looking! I think that made my day.
I think it's time to thank some people on here who have made this project happen, without them I would not have been able to do it.
