And in 4 weeks I'll have the deepest, reddest paint on any Scirocco in the NW! (well until it starts to fade :hugegrin: )

There's a few little changes being made along the way, nothing too blatant and nothing thats not easily reversed, but enough that you recognise it as being something a little bit out of the ordinary

I'll post progress photos on this thread as and when I get them


do I really want a carb'd valver? answers on a postcard...

Nate - They'd just finished an E-Type and the fella who owned it was picking it up at lunchtime. I tied my trip in with them being at work and got to see a Concours standard Mk1 E Type fire up and drive off..

pretty good day all in all : )

Its a place called Finesse Auto Bodies in Stockport - really chuffed that I found them tbh, all the other bodyshops round here were talking about masking over the windows and doing it in a day...

I'm in Stockport so very keen to see what they do. Looking forward to pics or maybe seeing in the flesh at a show... Hope it looks awesome when done!

It'll be going up for sale when it's painted - I cant renew the lease on my place so I need to find a new one, and I'm single again so have nobody to split the deposit or the 1st months rent with.

Talk about bad timing eh?!

Oh balls! You mean you only found out after it had gone in? That takes the shine off it quite literally... Hope you can find a way around it.

Right, so...

its been a crazy, up in the air, hard to gauge headache the last few days..

But (pending viewing the place) I think its all sorted - smaller and rougher but without the nagging bint taking up space :hehe:

So I'll be keeping hold of it and going ahead with the planned engine conversion. Watch this space :yahoo:

I got some pics today - etch and high build primers are done, nedds rubbing down then lots of colour and buffing and polishing
