Foglamp bulbs
Seen to have mislaid my Haynes, anyone know which bulb is fitted to the standard factory front foglamps? It's cold and wet and I don't want to go outside to find out! :)

Actually, while I'm at it, anyone know how to re-align them? Haynes only gives instructions for the headlamps, and I'm pretty sure they're not quite right, been hit too many times with a football by the local kids playing in the street.

Re: Foglamp bulbs
Undo the nut and re-adjust them. The fog light beam should hit the ground about 5 metres in front of the car.

Re: Foglamp bulbs
That's useful - any advice re the side-to-side adjustment? Headlamps tend to illuminate more of the left side than the right, is the same for fogs?

Re: Foglamp bulbs
And please please dont use the front fog lights in the rain or at night as other drivers seem to do.
It is one of my pet hates.

You see it all the time here in Tottenham, day or night, the local boy racers seem to think it's really cool or something... I think I've only used mine once in ten years of owning the car.

Re: Foglamp bulbs
Found this article on lamp aiming in general, looks pretty comprehensive and applicable to Europe too, though for the UK obviously the beam pattern is reversed:
