Ye Gods - 47 next week!!

Our branch of the family had two people working for Dovercourt in the '70s & '80s so I grew up around VWs - family gatherings would mean a long line of Golfs, Derbys & Polos...

My first motor was a '67 Beetle 1500 which was one year younger then me, had a 127k miles and was rotten ... £50 to buy and £175 to insure TPFT - fixed her up and sold her for £650 a year later!

I'm 28 later this year, been driving for 10 years and in that time I've had 5x Mk2 Golfs, 1x Mk4 Polo, (shush, a clio AND a metro ) and this is my first Rocco, the car which I've owned the longest and done the least number of miles in!

My mean age is 16, which is also my median age. Since I have been each of my ages for 1 year at a time it is not really possible to give a mode age, although the completed leap-year ages would have a slight advantage (0,4,8,12,16,20,24,28).

I'm 26 in feb and had my '79 storm for just over a year now.
first car i owned was a mk2 golf driver when i was 23 (up until that point id been driving my parents renault clio)
sold it to get the rocco

am all about all things mk1 now.

hopefully getting the rocco on the road this year then probably gonna buy a mk1 golf to run daily :)
