One for ya.non rocco

Post by monzajake »

Its my trusty audi.
Right 2ltr 16v ace code.
Parked her up a few months ago. When I did all was sweet.
Now it wont fire up but heres the baffling bit......
Loads of fuel massive spark and plenty of air !!!!
No ones touched it so timing and hts are all good etc.
It just turn n over over. After a while it sticks of fuel (understandable) and theres a pop in the induction.
And thats it....
Totally stumped on this !

Fire away peeps

I had an 850 T-5 that did the same sort of thing and it was a problem with the ECU.

how old?

over fuelled, flooded and unhappy if the spark was poor at first crank from being stood? remove fuel pump fuse and crank over to purge excess fuel and see if it fires while ya doing it

Turned out to be the ignition switch. I rocked the key while turning it over and it fired up.
Back in play !
