Model: Volkswagen Scirocco 1.6 GLS
Year: 1979

Current owner: me (second owner)
V5 present: yes
Location: Central London (EC1)
Price: SOLD ono
Contact Details: PM or email rognbrow@hotmail.com
Additional Information: I have decided to sell my Scirocco and thought I would offer it here first. I purchased the car in January 2013 via the garage of its first owner who took delivery of the car on April 1, 1979 (I have the original sales invoice). What the garage have told me was that in 1992 when he was trading in he was unhappy about what he was being offered for the Scirocco so decided to keep it and parked it in his garage where it remained, unused, until 2012. The Scirocco was recommissioned in 2012 but he found it difficult to drive as it did not have power steering. I purchased the car in January 2013 and have continued the recommissioning process. I have a full service history with receipts for all work done on the car 1979-1992. The car has been looked after for me by a classic VW specialist (http://www.vwgreengarage.co.uk) and I have receipts for all of their work. I have kept the car garaged and unmodified apart from fitting a DAB radio (no trim has been cut into). I still have the original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The paintwork and interior are original, there are some minor marks and a few minor rust bubbles but generally the car is in very good condition. The only reason I am selling the car is that I am changing jobs and will need to use a car more, I don’t want to use the Scirooco as a “daily driver” but I can’t afford to run two cars

Lovely Mk1 Roger. I'm sure I've seen it in town a few times.

It's usually parked somewhere in London EC1 at the weekends, it seldom leaves its garage during the week
