Haha no chance :) best thing was I got it for free as it was just sat in the spare room at my brothers :)

Should look tidy I think.

Liking what your doing and keeping tabs on this thread.

If I ever get mine finished I'll be looking for a local "crowd" so will be in touch.

Me being in Crewe you're not far away.

Thanks Mate :)

We deffo need to get some kind of Rocco meet around here in summer. Have you got a build thread?

If you are after any parts then let me know as I am selling all of the below in the coming weeks (ideally I want to sell all together)

Shell (Minter with no rust, paint is really good but some lacquer peel on the drivers side from when the side strips were removed)
Doors (same as above)
Tailgate (same as above)
Bonnet (same as above, sounded proofing removed for some reason)
Suspension
wishbones
rear beam
hubs

I may also sell the seats which are also mint but that will only be if I can find the seats I want.

Thanks for the offer but I've got pretty much everything I need.

I made the decision at the beginning to strip it out and make it a fast road/track car so I'm throwing away more than I'm buying. Seats, fuel lines, brakes, ignition, engine etc all being re-placed.

I've refurbed most of the suspension and steering which is now complete and am just finishing off my ABF re-build.

I'll be starting on the wiring, brake lines, ignition and fueling next.

Guess not restoring it to showroom or concourse is not too PC round here, but I loved my Scirocco since I bought it in 1999 and I want to make it a faster more fun car.

Build thread here:- viewtopic.php?f=19&t=10466&start=75

May be on the road next year, hopefully.

Soooo my other shell and bits were suppose to be arriving this weekend but we had some delays. Because of that i decided to get the wheels off the rocco and go and get my tyres transferred over. Well two transferred and two new ones fitted as the rear are too wide for my current tyres;

The joys of having friends that work in garages is having all of this done for free and learning how to fit stretched tyres :)

At the mo I have 195/45/15 on the front wheels which are 8J and 205/50/15 on the rears which are 9J. I think I may need to change the rears to 205/45/15 but I will make that decision after fitting them. It could look quite cool having fatter tyres on the rear OR it could look complete balls. I will post pics when they are on and you can decide for yourselves.

Not yet, waiting for the new shell to be delivered. Then I will have to fit them so it has something to sit on whilst I transfer everything over.

I will hopefully get a pic up early next week :)
