All Original 1984 GTi

Post by RussGLAuto »

Evening gents (any ladies?)

Just seen this 1984 GTi - super ALL original. A tad rough, but worth saving. Doesn't look messed with:

Tempting..?

Have flagged to the Welsh Wizard, one of his favourite colour combos on the Gti...

Saw this as well. I really like the GTI. It looks good without the body kit and the smaller spoiler.

It's an interesting car - kind of a mix of the changes for 1984. Has the newer double wipers, but still has the full sized spare and therefore smaller fuel tank.

I'd say more than "a lot of work" :-)

But I hope someone saves it...

The black foam rear inner wheel arch trims are still there too, well the one you can see. I salvaged mine from a breakers yards years ago. And reinstalled them when I changed model.

Let’s hope it goes to someone like Rob and Chris on salvage rebuilds.... although I don’t think it will be a quick turnaround.
