Afternoon all,
I've discovered my rear drum brakes are completely knackered with the cylinders held on with rounded hex bolts, so I'd like to just take off the rear cover on each side and give them a good clean and/or replace, along with replacing cylinders and obviously the shoes themselves.
I can't seem to find any info in the Haynes bible for how to remove these. Is it as simple as removing the 4 bolts in the centre of the cover?
Many thanks for any info.

Re: Removing drum brake rear cover
On a side note, does anyone know the correct size for the hex bolts for the rear cylinders? I'll get some new ones ordered asap.

lol davey just leave it alone.....
you will be better using some heat and pliers... on the rounded heads...
to remove drum you have to undo the shoes through hub bolt hole use torch and screwdriver... and flick adjuster.. make sure hand brake cables are loose too on the handle side.
m6 x 10mm are the bolt sizes.
