Injectors

Post by Scoobi25 »

The injectors on my Scirocco 1.8i DX has a mixture of 2 different part numbers 0437502032 and 0437502043 fitted to it. Anyone know what the difference between these 2 are as they both look identical apart from the part number.

These are both Bosch part numbers, and both listed on various retail website as suitable for the DX engine. I guess there might be a subtle difference in calibration, or one might have superseded the other.

As above they look similar, Bosch K jet was used in lots of car in the 80s and 90s.

There is 2 main difference in the injection system as VW fitted later air shroud injector like the ones in your link above, there should be an rubber air hose at the back of the head between cylinders 3 and 4 to make full use of the air shroud injector as they are meant to atomised the fuel better.
The other difference is type of thread on the fuel lines and injector, course thread or fine thread.

Mine does have the air hose at the back of the engine and both injectors have the air shroud fitted and are both the same thread. I will check a few sights and order what is available. Thank you

0437502032 and 0437502043 both appear to be M10 and 0437502047 M12.
