Scirocco Books?

Post by Fresco3000 »

Anyone know of any Scirocco specific books that have been published?

I have a load of the publicity and promo booklets, just wondered if anyone had published a proper book on the car(s).

Cheers,

Ordered that, found a couple of others.

Anyone got this one: Scirocco https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/3768825434/ ... zBb4590D84

Looks like it may be just the Mk3.

Volkswagen makes a number of the history books they publish free to download. The Scirocco one can be found here:

https://www.volkswagenag.com/presence/k ... en1_DE.pdf

Walter Wolf also published a German language book for Mk1 and Mk2 Sciroccos. This book is interesting as it covers the tuning and racing scene as well. This book is only available used and tends to be expensive, but every now and then one will show up on ebay.de at a more reasonable price.

Here's a link to one that's up there now so you can see what the book looks like (there was another edition with a slightly different cover as well). This one is expensive (in my opinion):

Thanks Thomas,

I bought 3 that I could find online, including the VW History one.

Sadly none are available in English.

I actually work in publishing and am considering contacting VW to propose an English book on the Scirocco. Would be good to get some input from what content members here would like to see in it.

I was going to approach the publisher and ask about translating this book. I think a lot of UK users would like this as there isn't a lot literature on the scirocco

If you download the PDF you can use Google translate to get the gist of it, not perfect but something.
