185/45/15 Tyres
Hi guys, after a quick google looks like Nankang are the only brand that make tyres in this size? Does anybody know of any other brand that makes tyres in this size as I've heard bad things about Nankang. Thought I heard that Conti make them, but couldn't find any?
Cheers for any help you can provide on this people

Doubtful you'll find anything other than ditchfinder nankangs for that size Alex, had a look for a mate for that size a while ago, even the mobile fitter I use (who is an absolute legend; went all the way to Leicester to get some valves for my wheels and only charged me an extra tenner ) who can usually find odd sizes couldn't find any

No help in that size I'm afraid, but a couple slightly bigger:
185/50/14 - Yoko A539 (£60)
195/45/15, Toyo T1R (£48) Falken ZE912 (£43)

I'll have a look around other places but am not hopeful.
Personally I wouldn't put Nankangs on any of my cars ... they're well known as ditch finders

The best money you can spend on your car is the tyres... it doesn't really need saying (but I will) that they're the only bit of your car in contact with the road. So any improvements you make to power, brakes or suspension will be pointless unless you've got decent rubber.
A different size tyre would be a better idea, in my opinion, if you can't find good ones in the size you want.

Re: 185/45/15 Tyres
I know gents, its a pain
From browsing some different forums, many people want this size tyre but are reduced to settling for the Nankang. Really dont wanna change as I'm running Toyos at the mo and the grip is awesome. I really am thinking of sending some e-mails to tyre companies to try to get them to make 185/45/15s. There is definatly a market for these, not a big one naturally, but surely worth it. Damn my Audi wheels!

The wheels dude? 7.5 inches with 25mm adaptors. ET 13. Naturally the quick fix is to wind the coilies up a couple of threads but just checking my options

Re: 185/45/15 Tyres
Got 195 on at the moment dude and they rub on hard cornering, popped to Southam Bodies, run by a chap called Greg who is a great bloke real helpfull, and he recomended 185 profile with the adaptors being machined down a little bit too to help with clearance. But this is gonna be put on the back-burner for a bit as I have oily-bits plans
Just wanted to check availability of the 185/45/15s, swear somebody said Conti make them, must have been dicontinued

Re: 185/45/15 Tyres
Totally agree on compromising size before compromising quality. What about lower profile? Those tyres are too narrow for 7.5J's (presumably angling walls to avoid rubbing). Lower profile with closer to correct width would be preferable wouldn't it? Much better grip for sure. 195/35 or 195/40? Even 205/35 would work I would think.
