16" porsche teledials question

Post by chrisme85 »

so i have aquired a set of porsche teledials a staggered set of 16's...
they havent arrived as of yet, but just wondering what width they will be and et they will be if any one knows?
ill be purchasing some adaptors, and wondering whether i will need 20mm or 30mm ones or different ones front and back? my car is a toy and not a regular run about its on coilovers so i can adjust the height accordingly, hoping to get these fitted before i get it sprayed in 2 weeks should look fresh with what i have planned :-)
thanks for the help in advance guys :-)

It'll all hinge on the ET and their widths, not sure what permutations the teledials came in.

Here's an American car with some on -

See my Scala project thread, I've got staggered D90's on it with, 25 mm H&R adaptors and 40 series rubber.

Right they are et23 7 +8 16"
165 40 16 on front
195 40 16 on rears

What size adaptors would you suggest?
And yes I know 165 is like a band and ill probably swap for 195's... ;-)

Trouble you'll have is ET23 plus adaptors of at least 15mm giving ET of 8 means that they will poke ridiculously and, whether you like it or not, the police are likely to pull you.
I researched some simialr sized cookiecutters a few years back and it wasn't a goer.

the D90's are ET52 - less the 25mm adaptor and you get a perfect ET27 with 7's on front and 8's on rear.

here's some other links re teledials - all the various porsches had different offsets -

I wreckon using 20mm on both they should still tuck... there not that wide, loads of space in arch, and I wrote measuremants and wreckon I could get to a 30mm but thats pushing it,
They have 195/40/16 so a bit of stretch at back and fronts have 165/40/16.
Im going to dpuble check my ccalculations tonight though!

Just thought id put up the answer for anyone else who searches for tjis in the future! 20mm adapters... sticks the wheel out 5/10mm past arch lip so with slight stretch is spot on.. but you cannot go quite as low... mine https://www.dropbox.com/s/wodiv8vd11seq ... 193058.jpg

was an inch off bottom of coilovers before and now ive wound it up another Inch and sits sweet. Hope this helps soneone in future..

I had these exact wheels a few years back, bought them as i got them at a good price and thought i would work out the fitment later. However as per GTXtra says it wasnt a goer and i had to sell them on due to the inevitable poke that i would get
