Can anyone tell me what size rim the stock space saver is? Wondering if they will fit over my brakes or not

Depends on what size your brakes are?

14" is the standard size. Usually fitted with a 105/70 R14 84F tyre.

Some of the Golf MK3.5 cabriolets had 15" 4x100 spacesavers.

Does it have to be vw? Try the local scrappy Renault and I think Vauxhall use 4x100 maybe one of those would have a suitable 15" space saver. The only issue I can think of is that it might not fit in the spare wheel well. I seem to remember the 14" standard one is a pretty tight fit. Might be wrong though, mine is now filled by a 12" sub. :-).

Ben.

Mine will be filled with sub too. But with no rear seat, I was going to make a bag for it and chuck it I'm the rear footwell
