Where to find a quickshift for a MK2 Scirocco

Post by gplategt »

Where will I find one that will fit?

On Ebay they are down as MK2 Golf and MK2 Scirocco being the same, I know from using a MK2 gearbox before that they are different.
I tried the MK2 Golf GTi weighted shift and it looked too short.
Has any on bought one from Ebay, and did it work ??

You want one advertised as a Mk1 golf shortshift.

These are the shapes you are looking for:

or

alternatively, have a look at the Missinglinkz website - http://www.4crawler.com/Diesel/ForSale/ ... kage.shtml

Look at the Short Throw Shifter section on this page. You can make one yourself in a few mins without complicated tools.

This is an alternative method.

The position of the sliding part determines the % of the adjustment.
Good luck.

Yes, you most likely have a mk3 Golf item which will fit a mk2 but not mk1/Scirocco.

Same as the one I got for mine, you need to keep an eye on the allen head bolt on the bottom of the relay shaft,as it can work itself loose over time, the standard one has a nut on the end

6 point cage,Koni`s,lower front brace,rear brace,goodridge hoses,4,2,1,supersprint back box,k+n,kent gs2h,vernier,skimmed and ported head,alloy fuel tank.catch tank,Short shift ,9A soon.

Sorry, I meant it will fit a mk2 Golf - I should have been a bit clearer.
