Re: Tailgate sticker

It will fit but the top edge will be obscured by the larger GTII spoiler. I've seen people fit them though.

Re: NATIONAL MEET 2015

A big thanks to the guys that organised the national from me too. This was the first time that I joined the convoy from Telford services into Cosford. Quite an experience seeing all those Roccos in my mirrors. Had a great run down from Derby with the East Midlands lads too. I had to leave at 2pm for...

Re: mk1 storm

Could this be the fabled missing number 17 1979 Storm? http://website.lineone.net/~dr.dub//tempDME%2076V.jpg I took this pic at Stanford Hall some years ago, it was on the Register club stand. On the DVLA site it says it was registered in Sept 79 and is SORN. Last MOT expired July 2010. But the colo...

Apollo and Logus. Even a VW badge won't make a Ford any good.

The weird and wonderful Type 3 4-door with the 'Leiding nose' fascinates me.

Re: VW Gol

I have a soft spot for South American VWs. The Gol is V cool in my book, especially the original air-cooled one.

I took some pics of a 1989 Gol GTI in the Wolfsburg museum in 2006. I'll post them up when I find them.

Got to love the Brazilian Karmann-Ghia TC too.

Welcome fellow Rocco owner. Lots of good people on this forum. As GTXTRA says, you should try to get to the National meet at Cosford.

Re: Japanese Mk1 brochure, second attempt.

I may have remembered this wrong, but wasn't there a segment on Fifth Gear some years ago about imported cars in Japan being LHD? It's something to do with it being a status symbol. LHD a way of being different and saying "Look at me, I have an imported car".

Japanese Mk1 brochure, second attempt.

Here is a link to scans of a Japanese Mk1 brochure that I bought from eBay. https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=f12d4caedfdce9e9&id=F12D4CAEDFDCE9E9%218778&ithint=folder,&authkey=!AJKtp_j4kjWsqIc For whatever reason, the links to individual pages stopped working when I originally posted them....

Re: Is this a GTX?

No joy with a pic of a GTX with a small spoiler so far. Even the GTX in the Jan 85 brochure has the bigger version 2 spoiler. https://g4srda.dm2301.livefilestore.com/y2pK3uKkgY5BSWyfqbgJvfROYr6mnkPBrEsY9QBg7PDKHSTzTTeW-IVtN-esYnGCPsAoGHIn0-0bVCsoBrGwTWjjk47ckdKyjyk-GjPQYNx_gOjYVTQC9HwOZBs_BBOgIkrEl-...

Re: Is this a GTX?

Welcome to the Register Jim. :good: I like the look of your Rocco the way it is. There aren't many with the Kamei kit so I'd leave it on. If you happen to see a SCIROCCO GTI badge then change it, no big deal if not. GTX or GTI more desirable? These days as long as it's another Rocco on the road it d...

Re: Is this a GTX?

In my humble opinion, it looks like a GTI rather than a GTX. Maybe it's worth checking the date moulded on the rear of the 'SCIROCCO GTX' badge. If it's later than the date of manufacture of the car, then it's a sure thing that it's been fitted afterwards. As Ed says, wrong tailgate spoiler for a GT...

I know these are rare, but really?

16v B-pillar badges on ebay.de
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191567900820? ... 26_rdc%3D1

Would you really pay that much for a couple of badges?

Maybe these are something else that could be 3D printed.
