Re: Early mk2 speedo and temp gauge
Temp gauge=533 919 511A or 155 919 511A if its square rev counter???
Speedo 120mph with trip recorder=161 957 033AA. Without trip rec=161 957 033BA
The speedo diag only shows square type on my Etka, no number for round version. Or at least i cant find it.

Re: Getting there.
What did you do regards ignition? 36 tooth crank wheel with sensor and the Ford edis coil pack thingy? Or did you keep standard ignition?
I'm going to have a good look on here and cgti to see how others have done it. I think I'll go your route for fueling.

Re: Getting there.
Tbh Mike, i wouldn't mind forgoing the ITB's if theres another way round it. All i really want is mappable fueling and ignition. Could i use Megasquirt on it with G60 injectors or is it a lot of messing around?
Should i just stick with K-Jet and go see Vince down at Stealth?

Re: Getting there.
Well i've got a stainless 4 branch and a 2.5" Jetex system to compliment it. However, i'd really like to get it on ITB's and Megasquirt. But, money isn't a forthcoming as it used to be at the moment, so thats on the backburner for a while. I will do it though. Always fancied dabbling in the dar...

Getting there.
Well the TSR lump i bought off MikeH is coming along well now. Hoping to have it in the rocco withing the next few weeks. Just thought i'd add a couple of pics, note the larvely circa 1989 scat vernier cam pulley. Well chuffed with that purchase. Engines had a total stripdown, check over at Stanwood...

Re: Handbrake very poor
Yeah, they just looked a bit old and crusty(bit like me)so i thought i'd get new ones in there. Besides, the bloody bleed nipples were seized as well.mark1gls wrote:Glad you got it all sorted.
The rear wheel cyinders are only operated by the foot brake not the hand brake.

Re: Handbrake very poor
Thanks for the advice guys. Just been and fitted 2 x quinton hazell cables and 2 x QH brake cylinders. Cleaned all the drums, bled brakes and put it all back together. Works a treat now. I am a bit red with all this sun we're having though! I think the problem was a combination off a duff...

Handbrake very poor
The handbrake has been pants since i got it a year and half ago, so a couple of months ago i fitted new shoes and new retaining springs/clips,etc, etc. I chocked the wheels, released the handbrake and pressed the brake pedal a couple of times to take up the shoes, then i took up the slack in the cab...
