The 2.0l 2E block is the way i'd go. More or less a straight swap. You can also use the AGG motor, but you need to use the 2E dizzy on that i think.

Depends on wear n tear and how far you want to take it. If you want it reliable then you need to do it properly and take into account all possible wear. I'd replace bearings with kobelschmidt items. Pobably go for the barrels honing and new rings(kobelschmidt). New valve guides and check valve stems...

Ive got a 91 scala 1.8i. The sticker on the fuel flap says 97ron, so i use super unleaded stuff.
I would suggest you see what yours says and fuel accordingly. If it hasn't got the sticker, a quick search should yield the answer.
