It had a brand new belt fitted about 2 months ago and is not slipping or anything, Idles around 1000. I should mention the car is running like a pig at the moment and I have a mobile tuning guy coming over to set the carb and timing etc. Whats this blue wire then?

A daft question...Whats this for?
Please excuse my lack of knowledge
On the air filter box that clips over the carb on my 1.6 GT there is a rubber plug and when pulled out it reveals a hole, Whats the purpose of this? Best left closed or open?

Re: Part worn tyres
Well Ive just had two brand new tyres fitted and the tracking done for £100, Better than what ATS changed me when I bought the car 4 years ago which was £70 for one tyre. Mixed feelings about part worns then, A couple of my mates swear by them and the others say stay away

Re: Tappets
I just poured a bottle of that 'miracle juice' in, It seems quiter but I need to take it for a run. If it's still there then I will change the tappets, Just trying the cheap method first.
Re: Tappets
Excellent, Just ordered a bottle from ebay, I'll see how that goes. Cheers.
Re: Tappets
Ahhhh most interesting. Do you just pour the whole bottle in?
Re: Tappets

Just did an oil change and it's still tapping, Getting faster when you accelerate but the tapping can be gone for days then it will come back. Any ideas?
Cheers Tim
