Re: The thread about the £19k Mk1 GTI
Funnily enough I was thinking about it the other day. The poor guy Roger had it stolen literally two days after buying it from me, and the day before it was due to go into the body shop. Never heard anything else about it.Long gone now I'm sure. Great car too. Awful bodywork, but went like a train, ...

Re: The thread about the £19k Mk1 GTI
This car in the link below seems incredibly good value by comparison. I saw it on the street one day when I lived in London a couple of years ago and it looks like it's just come out of the showroom. Immaculate and totally standard. He could probably get away with adding another two or three grand.....

In the Golf GTI edition last week, he also went to see someone with a big collection of 80s/90s VWs, and there was a Cosmos blue mk2 Storm, in there, reg no ending in DUX. Anyone here? It looks familiar

Love the attention to detail, especially the dealer plate replicas. A real bugbear of mine when people replace original plates with the later narrow front ones with Euro flag insert.

VR6 misfiring problem - all cylinders firing, but down on power
Hi chaps, i know this isn't the Raddo forum (have asked over there as well), but I'm sure some of my fellow Corrado-ers might be able to help me. My VR6 has started running badly as of yesterday: Down on power slightly lumpy idle, like you can feel the car sort of jump slightly every couple of secon...

Roger texted me earlier to tell me - I am genuinely gutted for him.

Re: Is my battery a goner?
If the battery is goosed then take it back to the place you bought it, Bosch batteries come with al least a 3 year warranty. (I would avoid saying you left your lights on though!) haha, yeah, i think i'll be economical with the truth on that one...that was the one you fitted for me in Finchley Wher...

Re: Is my battery a goner?
Just a thought, but how are you connecting the leads? Did they spark when you connected them? (you normally do get a bit of a spark) there was nothing Red to + on good battery, then other end on + of my car then black to - on the good battery, then the radiator bracket on my car (unpainted piece of...

Re: Is my battery a goner?
If the battery is really flat it won't jump start straight away anyway. You'll have to leave it connected to another car with the engine running for at least 10 minutes to get some charge in your battery if you don't have a charger. Or buy/borrow/steal a charger and leave it on overnight. You may h...

Is my battery a goner?
Very cleverly left my lights on overnight. the car is not starting on the key (i just get the click from the starter solenoid), won't bump start and won't jump off my mum's Astra either. is my nice new Bosch battery destined for a trip to the skip? or is there any way it can be saved? PS I don't hav...
