For me I was originally always all about the MK2 Golf, I always liked and was aware of the Scirocco but never really paid much attention to it.

About 6 months ago I was on the look out for a Golf GTi, my girlfriends Dad said why not look at Scirocco's too?

I got similar problems, mostly since a new fuel pump and fuel reservoir fitted by the garage. When I try to start her she turns over but won't catch, guys at the garage say it's the fuel pressure but it's been back and forth to the garage for a couple of weeks now with the same problem ...

Made my decision and picked up a 1.8 in the end, it's an 8v carb'd GTII.

Drove back down from Worcester last night to the south east, she really picks up when you give her some beans! Put a smile on my face

yeah I thought it better to push up my spend by a couple of hundred to try and find a cleaner model. Think I'm being a bit too picky though.

Need a bit of advice, looking for my first scirocco at the moment.

Going to look at a 1.6 GT this weekend hopefully, how does the 1.6 compare to the 1.8 ? Is there a massively big difference in performance ?
