Nah didn't look like a leek, coolant level is fine.
I'll see how it goes and see if it causes a problem or improves somehow.

condensation in engine bay
Hi,
I've just fitted some of this sound proofing,
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vehicle-Sound-D ... B004HFVXQO
And after the first drive this morning have noticed a fair bit of condensation on it, and the engine.
Could this be a problem?

Re: if not dirt in fuel, what else?
Carb stripped and float valve had jammed. I also noticed the top of it, where the ball bearing is, was damaged, so swapped for old one. Tested by blowing into it and it seemed ok so replaced and running great. Will do a longer test tomorrow to see if the ignition module has done its job. I guess I ...

Re: if not dirt in fuel, what else?
I'm sure its not dirt. The inline filter is spotless and we get good flow to and from the pump. I think the floats are catching and stopping the needle valve, probably due to me being heavy handed during the last few rebuilds. I've also noticed the new needle valve doesn't have any holes on the side ...

Re: if not dirt in fuel, what else?
Sadly the problem continues. New module fitted, 100 yds up the road, car dies. I'm wondering if I've got 2 things going wrong. Checked spark at plugs and that's all fine, so coil must be ok. Now, back on the fuel. Fuel lines checked and all pumping fine. Carb seems dry... Pour fuel into top of carb ...

Is it worth replacing the coil at the same time?

Actually ignore that fan comment, I think that was a red herring.

Re: if not dirt in fuel, what else?
No not looked at those fuel lines, but will now, thanks.
I've stripped the carb fully now and still have issues, so have ordered the ignition module, £30, to see if that does anything.
It seems to only happen when its warmed and possibly even caused by the fan starting???

Re: if not dirt in fuel, what else?
Cool, as I thought, thanks. I'll replace the jets and check the needle valve, then move onto electrics if no joy.
