Drove the Goof today (Mk2 GTI) nd the power is Soooo much more than the Sclala... I thought it was the same engine?

the goof had soo much more pick up, and better ecconomy... whats wrong?

....Might be checking the head gasket sooner than I planned!

Mr Funk has inspired me, I think the Golf needs an install. Not into BOOM BOOM music so epic bass aint really the goal here, but if somebody could explain the very basics, I'd really appreciate it. How does an Amp work? How do you wire amps up? Do they power subs or speakers too? Would you recomend...

Head gasket?!? ...water in number three cylinder. Could be, but no sign of mayo under the rocker cover, had 120psi on all four cylinders and isn't using any oil or water. Don't know how else I would diagnose it, and don't really want to crack the head bolts if idon't have to. Any other way i can te...

Yep, when setting up camber the car has to be "at ride hight" ... if you want to d othis with out hte wheels on then stick 4 jacks, one under each whishbone... rithg at hte end so as the car sits down where it would... but even this won't be truly right, you could always make a rig that ex...

I was really sad when I learn't about htis guy years ago... thought I was being original (bar VWs own efforts) but no, I've been out done again! ..so I'm just going to plod along with what ever i like regardless of whos been there before!.

Didn't buy the quatto... couldn't justif braking a good car! :-(

...but I have got a 16v/v coming my way in the near future!

no do I stick it in the rocco or the golf? (tempted by the rocc way, but its a carbed GT2 atm and so sorting the wiring will be fun!)

looking back into it myself as with the new project I want to try and keep the engine fairly clean!

i thought about making one (in two/three halfs) but never got round to it... another one of "those" jobs!!!

...shouldn't be that hard to do realy, make a cardboard one first, then set to with a sheet of aluminium?

Your question is for what purpose... if you told us we could answer! ...I think they are the same, but don't know what your tring to do! the wishbone ball joint is how ever different though.. unless the shop used differet suppliers when i ordered the bits a year apart! ..putting my rocco wheels on t...
